*Fancy Broke, quiet, been there done that SCHOOL MASTER! This boy will teach any rider!*

 

“Stix” quickly became the barn favorite amongst the barn girls! He is so incredibly handsome, with a charismatic personality, and beautiful floating movement. Stix has a long resume of what he can do; he rides fancy English, is finished on the barrels, and trail rides like a pro! Stix is broke broke broke – soft and supple throughout his whole body and rides in a plain d ring snaffle! This gelding would make an excellent teacher for someone who is wanting to learn how to ride or lightly trail ride! Stix is not your typical hot barrel horse – he rides quiet and easily comes right back to you. He rides either in a d ring snaffle or a jr cow horse- he is light in the contact, collects into a beautiful frame, side passes, will move his hips around, and can easily lift his shoulders. He has had little teeny tiny riders on him for the PeeWee events in barrels and has also packed less experienced riders out on the trail. Stix is not fazed by much and has a great brain – you can flap the tarp around him and even carry the flag. He is so incredibly patient and forgiving with the kids, and really will babysit most any rider.

Stix is the lowest man on the totem poll, stands quietly for the farrier, rides out confidently in any new place, and has no bad habits. If you leave Stix untouched for 6 months he will ride off as gentle as a teddy bear- never offered to buck, rear, bolt, etc. Stix easily loads into a trailer and requires no lunge prep. He rides like a seasoned horse would, brave and confident. His health record is UTD (with a current dental, sheath cleaning, coggins, and vaccines)!! This boy has gotten the best care. He has been with the same family for 14 years! Stix is Future Fortunes enrolled! Stix would make a lovely addition to any family. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this fella. He is always right there for you, and such a pleasure to have in the barn. He is an honorable superstar in my book – and a versatile one!

Update 9/8/18: Stix has a heart murmur which was found on a Pre-Purchase Exam preformed on 9/7/18. He is sound and does not seem to be bothered by the heart murmur, however, he will need to sell to a LIGHT RIDING - low stress home. He would be suitable teaching a kid how to ride, leisurely trail riding, and easy light rides. This gelding has never given us difficulties cantering – so this was quite the shock. Due to this sudden finding we have reduced his price from $6,500 to $2,500 – as we would like to find a suitable home for him. We will be very selective for this boy as he has a heart of gold and deserves the best.  If you are looking for a higher priced horse- on a budget, this is your chance to own a really nice gelding for fractions of the cost!
